Necessity of Accreditation and its benefits to stakeholders?
It is a known fact that Technical
institutions should mandatorily fulfill all specific criteria's according to
norms of NBA to get accreditation. The new All India Council for
Technical Education (AICTE) policy says that only NBA accredited colleges
can increase their intake. Please give your opinion why as institute should
apply or not apply for accreditation. Comment on the necessity of accreditation,
its benefit to stakeholders. Is it a strategic/political/wasted
interest of some countries to enforce their system on us as Indian? Please
comment. Also give opinion on others reply.
I think Accrediation is the proof of your efforts given to students bright future..there are certain parameters which makes the students personality dynamic. And this parameter are available in Accrediation process.Accrediation shows the transparency of your college's effort. So I think it is important..
ReplyDeleteAccreditation is a measure of the knowledge that we impart to the students in terms of course and program outcomes, and how far have they been able to use it and face the real world. To make it quantifiable, Accreditation is a mandate.
ReplyDeleteI think people who run away from accreditation they are probably running away from their duties and responsibilities. Accreditation is beneficial for teachers as well as students. Teachers must tell institutes to apply for accreditation to safe guard their and students interest. However I find very contrasting scenario. Management tell teachers to apply for accreditation and teachers oppose it....without understanding what exactly accreditation is.
ReplyDeleteI think accreditation is important to each internal and external stakeholders. Because of accreditation each stake holder like alumni student parents faculties has adequate importance to present his or her opinion about institute, facilities, curriculum in short this is not only to obtain good marks in SAR by putting data but also it is the standard method to take necessary actions and achieve real outcome of everything for everyone.
ReplyDeleteNo one is talking about real benefits of accreditation to stakeholders. If institute is accredited then what benefit you will get as faculty?
ReplyDeleteAccreditation is a continuous improvement process to enhance the quality of technical education
DeleteAccreditation is very necessary as every person or organization needs evaluation in order to improve. It not only shows us gaps but also strengths of system. Accreditation should not be considered as a mandatory thing to get funding or any other monetary benefit but it should be looked at as a chance to inculcate better habits and methods in all stakeholders.
ReplyDeleteHelps students during their times of placement! Helps the institute to promote quality education, also financial assistance (funding) is also provided by various government agencies which the institute can properly invest for better labs and healthy learning environment for students!
ReplyDeleteAccreditation is essential to evaluate the education system; it assures the quality of education. It is a kind of standard followed by educational system. Being accredited by NBA is considered as prestigious. We can say that accreditation makes you follow the directed path to reach to the final goal.
ReplyDeleteAccreditation is good when it is taken in right spirit with its philosophy by heart. However majority of the institutes are getaway with accreditation simply by creating pile of documents. That is a reason why many accredited institutes are not able to get admissions to their full strength.
ReplyDeleteAccreditation is the evaluation of your efforts , which you have put to make your institute valuable. It is the validation of the efforts to give quality education to students.
ReplyDeleteAccreditation is beneficial to stakeholders as it helps in maintaining a standard in the education quality.
ReplyDeleteAs number of colleges are opening in multifold, accreditation is a getaway to pass the quality. If it taken in true spirit then it is be
ReplyDeletebeneficial for all, otherwise it is just paperwork.
The primary goal of accreditation is to promote and improve construction education in colleges and universities.
ReplyDeleteby doing this it indicates that the program has met stringent industry standards of content and quality
and also indicates that the program graduates have been provided a quality education enabling them to perform a broad range of professional responsibilities
The college and students that the program performs periodic self-evaluations to keep updated with emerging technologies and requirements of the industries.
