Why Design Thinking to Education?

Hello Everyone,
Greetings.
You can alternative find above video at following Youtube link:

One of the purpose of this workshop is to allow teacher to do 'hard/critical/innovative thinking' to change the mindset of teacher to use innovative teaching learning practices and to make them aware of new practices which they are not aware of (Hence before learning the practice one can not assess/judge it).
Once Einstein also said that people are not thinking hard as like him ....that is the reason why only he could see the difference or to be more specific 'principle of relativity'....change in traditional way of thinking given by Newton that everything is fixed and pre-decided. Anybody who could have done hard thinking could have discovered the principles of relativity.

Design thinking in its own is to make you 'think' and 'rethink' about design (rather 'redesign')  curriculum. Changing few topic or title of the course is not enough. Fundamental courses or industry oriented courses should be in the curriculum is another aspect (I believe fundamentals should be taught with amalgamation of real life industry oriented problems. All together industry oriented courses shall be offered as choice based as a 'cafeteria system'....open for discussion).

While you do any activity 'Student Centric' approach is must. It is not at all about pacifying somebody (in a wrong manner) rather it is about creating a value to the customer. It is exactly about 'Wow' factor. If you procure some product and if you like it very much ...you say...'Wow! what a good product it is'. If vendor does not value to a customer then probably customer will not go to that vendor...it is as simple as that. First you have to accept from heart that now teaching has become a competitive profession and student is your customer. You must show empathy towards your customer. If you go to purchase a product from shop and shopkeeper do not even talk to you or is not bothered about you ...probable you will think twice before visiting that shop again.....high chances that you will not visit.
Outcome based education is all about student at the center. We talk about 'student will be able to do' rather than 'I want to teach....'.
Design thinking is a concept which has changed the entire world of consumer products. This concept has been implemented at universities like MIT.
